Start a Book Club

All you really need to get a book club going is a few friends who like to read, a few books you've been itching to get your hands on, and a time and place to get together. For help with the other details (like how to pick a book, or what to talk about), and ideas on how to make your club a success, check out these resources:

Contact us! The Downers Grove Public Library Adult and Teen Services staff is happy to help you find answers to your book club questions. We can help you come up with possible titles, and once you've got your group together, our interlibrary loan department can be sure that everyone in your group can check out a copy of your selected book.

Use your Downers Grove Public Library card to access this database from home. Click on the "For Readers" tab, then select "Book Discussion Guides, Young Adult Level" for great ideas and lots of useful information. Any librarian will be happy to help you with this if you get stuck.
