The Great Reading Experiment Side Summer Reading Club

Downers Grove students and cardholders who are entering grades 1 – 8 can join The Great Reading Experiment! Students in grades 1 – 3 will receive a purple folder and read eight books per prize level. Students in grades 4 – 8 will receive an orange folder and read five books per prize level. Complete the first reading level and earn an Every Day’s a Sundae coupon. Complete the second prize level and earn a free movie pass good at either the Tivoli or Ogden 6 movie theaters. Complete your reading folder and earn your choice of a Steak ’n Shake milkshake coupon or a toy. Once you’ve completed your folder, you can receive bonus book pages. For the first five of these completed by August 1, you’ll receive your choice of available coupons generously donated by area businesses. Library staff will visit school classes in District #58 in May. If your class is visited by library staff, you’ll get your summer reading club materials at school and you do not need to come to the library to register. The club runs from May 17 to August 1.
