How Do I Cite That Source?

Research papers usually include a bibliography. This is a list of the sources you used to find your information. Schools may require different format guidelines, but District 99 recommends using the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers. Ask at the reference desk for a copy of North or South High’s sheet of examples for listing your references.

You may also access NoodleTools. Click on Quick Cite. Fill in the form, and it will compose a simple citation in MLA format for you. This is a free service, but for a nominal fee you may subscribe to the full service that will compile any of your sources into either MLA or PLA format.

There are circulating copies of each manual of style in the Literature Department.
