| Book Drops You can return library materials 24 hours a day at three outside locations: 1. East of the Curtiss St. entrance doors. 2. On the east side of the building (along the alley). 3. Off the parking lot at the bottom of the north, outside staircase. Inside book drops are located in the wall north of the Circulation Desk. Book Sale If youre in the mood for books at bargain prices, stop by the Book Sale Shelf in the Curtiss Street lobby. The shelf is filled with items removed from the collection, along with donated materials. Paperbacks are twenty-five cents each, and hard covers are fifty cents each. Fines All adult materials are 15 cents per day. All childrens materials are 10 cents per day. Loan Periods You can check out most items for three weeks. High demand items and special collections have loan periods of one or two weeks. Renewal Many three and two week items can be renewed for the original loan period. You can renew most materials over the phone by calling the Circulation Department. Please have your library card ready when you call. You can also renew items online. Log in to the Check Your Record section of the SWAN catalog and click on items Currently Checked Out to renew your items. Note: Some items cannot be renewed online and will prompt you with additional information if a restriction applies. Rentals Do you like to read the latest popular works right away? If so, youll enjoy our rental collection of current bestsellers. The cost is 20 cents a day, and the first day is free. Youll find the collection in the second floor Literature Department. Vacation Loans If you want to take library materials on vacation with you, we will extend the usual three week loan period to a six-week vacation loan upon request. High demand items are not included. |
