Garden Walk Brick Program

At the Downers Grove Public Library, you can leave a lasting imprint on library history while supporting imaginative artwork and other enhancements! So far, patrons have donated more than $124,600!

With a gift of $100, donors can personalize an engraved brick along The Garden Walk, a special walkway in a landscaped area on the southwest corner of the new library. The 4"x 8" brick contains three lines. A gift of $250 entitles contributors to personalize an 8"x 8" brick with five lines. Contributions are tax deductible, and matching gifts are welcome.

The brick pavers are a perfect way to make family, friends, loved ones–even a business or an organization–a part of the library. They are unique, one-of-a-kind gifts for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or graduations.

Contributions received have provided murals and artwork for both the Children’s Department and adult areas, including the Children of Peace sculpture. Additional funds will underwrite artwork and other enhancements throughout the library. Watch the library’s website and Discoveries bi-monthly newsletter for ordering information. Any questions can be directed to the library’s Administrative Office at (630) 960-1200.
