Part-Time Adult & Teen Services Librarian

Seeking friendly, enthusiastic librarian to join service-oriented Adult & Teen Services Department. Candidates for this position must have good communication skills, excellent computer skills, experience downloading digital materials on a variety of devices, and the ability to deal with the pressures of public service work in a busy Responsibilities include providing reference and readers’ advisory services to adults and teens, collection development, and community outreach. This position requires good organizational skills, knowledge of adult and teen literature, and the ability to work This 24 hour per week position includes daytime, evening, and weekend work. Benefits include IMRF and after one year, vacation time and sick leave. Starting salary is $22.24 per hour. This part-time position requires an ALA accredited MLS.

Computer Desk Associate

Friendly, service-oriented individual with good people and communication skills, strong computer skills, and excellent attention to detail needed in Information Technology Department. The Computer Desk Associate is part of a team with the primary responsibility of assisting patrons with library computers and digital devices. The Associate also assists in the library’s technical training classes and assists patrons in the use of copiers and microform machines. Knowledge of multimedia tools and software is a major plus.  

There is a year-round, part-time position averaging 12 hours per week available. This position requires daytime, evening, and weekend work. The starting pay is $12.26 per hour.
