In order to place reserves online and to check your own record, you will need a PIN. You can establish a PIN online, either when you place a reserve, or via the Check Your Record screen. Follow these instructions:
• A screen will come up asking for your name, barcode (library card number) and PIN.
• As you enter the information, press <TAB> or click on the next box. Do not hit RETURN.
• Type your name exactly as it appears on your library card.
• Enter the 14-digit barcode that appears on your library card.
• Click the <Display Record for Person Named Above >button. You will get a new screen that will ask you to enter a new PIN.
• At <Enter Your PIN>: enter your chosen PIN.
• At <Enter Your PIN Again>: enter your PIN again.
• Click the <Display Record for Person Named Above> button.

Your PIN can be any combination of letters, numbers, or characters up to 30 characters long. Choose a PIN you can remember easily. You will need to type it, along with your name and barcode, each time you access your record or place a reserve. The library does not keep track of PINs for patrons. If you forget your PIN, staff at the Circulation Desk can delete the old PIN, and you can enter a new one on the computer catalog.
