The Downers Grove Public Library Foundation’s Garden Walk is growing, and your name will make it bloom! Purchase and personalize a brick as part of the expansion of the Garden Walk along the west side of the library. Commemorate a special occasion, honor a loved one, or just leave your mark the library.
The expansion will feature a new engraved brick path and landscaping. Donations will be used by the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation to purchase artwork and other enhancements for the library.
With a $100 donation, you’ll get a 4" x 8" brick inscribed with your name, favorite saying, or message. A $250 donation entitles you to personalize an 8" x 8" brick. Two benches are also available for sponsorship. Your contribution goes to the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, and is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Over the past ten years, hundreds of families and friends have added their names to the original Garden Walk, located at the corner of Curtiss Street and Forest Avenue. More than 800 inscribed bricks were placed during the first phase, which began in 1999 with the opening of the renovated library. Funds raised were used to purchase art now located around the library.
For more information, pick up a brochure in the library or call the Administration Office at (630) 9601200.
