Unbound Book Discussion

A new group is in town for book discussions, trivia, and more!

This time we're discussing Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. In Flynn’s first psychological thriller, investigative reporter, Camille Preaker, returns from Chicago to her hometown of Wind Gap, Missouri on-assignment from her editor to flesh out the story behind the murders of two preteen girls.

Copies are available to pick up and read beforehand from the Ask Us Desk. Don't have time to read it? That's Ok! Grab a drink and chat with us anyway. Registration is not required, just drop by.

Internet for Seniors: Beginner

If you have never tried the Internet, cannot use a mouse, and don’t know what a URL looks like, this session is for you. This is a hands-on class for people who want to review basic computer skills before using the Internet. We’ll cover: mouse skills, browser functions, privacy issues, enlargement of screen text, bookmarks, and printing. Webcams or Mapquest will be included if time permits. Skills needed: none. Classes are open to DGPL cardholders only.

Internet for Seniors: Intermediate

There are now more than 27.5 million seniors using the Internet. If you’re ready to become one of them, this is the class to join. We’ll explore a few simple techniques to access a wide variety of Internet sites, including weather, news, financial and magazine options. Several special online services, including video tutorials, Skype and YouTube will also be introduced. Skills needed: mouse skills, screen functions, create a bookmark, and print. Classes are open to DGPL cardholders only.

Microsoft® Word 2007 Intermediate

Create a table of contents using styles, track changes in documents and create labels or documents using the Mailings tab. Prerequisite: "Introduction to Microsoft Word 2007" or equivalent. Classes are open to DGPL cardholders only.
