Graffiti Art for Teens

Graffiti art is a very specialized art form, and a great way for artists to tell visual stories throughout the community.  In this program, you will learn to draw graffiti style!  Participants will learn about the elements of space, color, and value, while learning about street artists and writing graffiti style.  Everyone will also make their own temporary street art piece.  Students will receive a sketchbook, and will be provided with all necessary supplies.

Dead Presidents

Author, public radio host, and former DGPL staffer Brady Carlson joins us to talk about his new book, Dead Presidents: An American Adventure Into The Strange Deaths and Surprising Afterlives of Our Nation's Leaders. 38 of our presidents may be gone, but as Carlson writes, there's a world of monuments, memorials, and more around the dead presidents that's very much alive.
