Open Storytime

9:30am to 10:30am

This storytime is designed for toddlers and preschoolers, although children of all ages may attend, and features simple picture books, songs and participation activities. Parent participation is an essential element of this storytime, and attending children must be supervised by an adult. Registration is not required. Storytimes attended by eight or fewer people may be canceled by the storyteller.

Programming for Everybody (Python)

Learn the basics of programming and programming logic using the popular Python programming language. Go beyond just using a computer and learn how to create your own applications using free software.

This class will be taught using the Coursera Open Class platform (www.coursera.org). Class time will be used to watch the course videos and working with other classmates to complete the projects. A library staff member will also be available to help.

Fiction Book discussion

We'll meet at the library to discuss To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee's beloved novel about 8-year-old Scout Finch growing up in a small town in Alabama and witnessing her father, a lawyer, defending a young black man accused of raping a white woman.
