Introduction to Circuits

Learn the basics of electricity, and how it flows through a circuit and powers everyday life! This fun workshop will teach participants about the different types of circuits, such as the difference between a conductor and an insulator. At the end of this course students will have built their own circuit to take home!

Adventures in Travel

Join Paul and Sue Clement in their presentation of "Up Three Cricks", featuring their riverboat trip from Budapest to Amsterdam along the Danube, Main, and Rhine Rivers. It features pictures taken from the riverboat as well as the many excursions they took away from the boat.

The presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. with refreshments at 7:00 p.m. Registration is not required.

Political campaigns are getting down and dirty. How did this campaign craziness get started?  Believe it or not, they have actually gotten more civil over the years. Don't believe it? Hear stories of the Jefferson v. Adams campaign of 1800, the Jackson v. Adams of 1824 and 1828,  the Lincoln v. Douglas of 1860, and Grant v. ANYONE! Presented by Terry Lynch.

Historic Recognition & Landmarking Your Home

Learn how you can research the history of your home, participate in the Historic Homes Recognition Program, and how your home could be a candidate for landmarking. Downers Grove Museum and Village of Downers Grove representatives will explain the procedures on how to apply and be recognized.
