The public is invited to attend library Board meetings which are held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the library Meeting Room. The agenda provides opportunity for general public comment and public comment on agenda items. Minutes are posted after they are approved at the following month's Board meeting.

As a Village library, the Downers Grove Public Library is included in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report of the Village of Downers Grove.
